Hi, Tobias (we also met at BarCamp Baltics), Kristina, Bektour and Mikhail!

it is so nice to see all of you guys!!!

Kristina, Bektour, you can try Soros foundation in Kyrgyzstan for travel grants, but you'll need an official invitation and better stating that German side will help you with accomodation, in this case grants are more available.

Tobias, I have other kinda problem. I'll be on a study source in Germany sponsored by DAAD. I have a visa until 20th of October and from 12th of October will be in Berlin, and very much want to visit your camp and give a presentation about 2d BarCamp Central Asia we plan to do in Almaty (together with Bektour and Kristina, by the way).

the only problem is German side has bought me tickets on 18th of October, and they are not changable. But probably I can write them a letter stating how much Berlin Barcamp means to me as an organizer of BarCamp Central Asia in Almaty so they can change their mind to re-book tickets.

In this case would it be possible to ask you for kinda official invitation stating how it is important that I should be present for BarCamp Berlin?

that would be very nice of you,

sincerely, Yelena

Everyone who needs a so called Letter of Invitation may send me the following information:
* Complete name
* Date of birth
* Postal address and telephone number

Please send it to kai@barcampberlin3.org

You will then receive a personalized Letter of Invitation

Hey all, I am from Kyrgyzstan too, but I will be representing Uzbekistan in the barcamp, as I have been working in blogging project on Uzbekistan for more than 2 years. It would be awesome if there were some travel grants for participants from Central Asia. As Bektour already said, tickets are quite expensive, plus there are visa charges... Hate all these border stuff :(

But Kristina's idea sounds good. However, its difficult I guess to collect enough to cover expenses. Kristina, I am sure that in the customs of Kg you will be asked for a paper from the Ministry of Culture (or whatever) or license that you can transport all those national things. I have heard about similar cases. Damn bureaucracy :(

Tolkun, hope OSCE will help us, but we are waiting for their reply. I'm glad to know you will participate in BC Berlin3! Hope we will meet and you will return me my nail polish :)))))

P.S. What's about Kyryl's sweater? :)))

By the way, your nail polish is always in my bag :) I keep forgetting to take it out :) About Kirill's sweater, it is in Bishkek, I hope I will have a chance to give it to him personally :)

Kristina and me have got a travel grant from OSCE: that's awesome! :) So the only thing left to do is to get a German visa. See you on BarCamp!
